Brandel Kerns, also known as “Yahsa” in the music world, was born and raised in the small city of Spartanburg, South Carolina. There he was raised in a Baptist church along with 3 siblings. Thus his Christian foundation was established.
Yahsa developed a love for music during his youth. He participated in band throughout his school years and had a deep connection with R&B-style music. But did not begin singing until adulthood. His current artistry began after he learned his true identity according to the Holy Bible and “the truth” as it relates to walking in Christ.
He stepped fully into his music ministry when he joined the group “Brewnity” in 2016 led by “Brother Bronze”. With the group you can find him rapping on hits like “Renewed” and “Rise & Pray” or hear his melodic voice singing songs like “Wouldn’t Trade Ya”; all found on the Brother Bronze Official YouTube page.
